Scott brought 20 years of retail experience with him when joining The Northeast Group. That experience spans sales and store management, planning as well as buying. Scott started his retail career in store management at Lechmere covering all areas of the store, and then continued it when moving on to Staples. Scott’s first foray into sales came with the Spring Air Mattress Company as an account executive, where his customers included independent stores as well as key chain retailers. From there, Scott joined the TJX Corporation, holding various planning and buying positions for approximately 12 years. Eight out of those 12 years were spent as a buyer in housewares. It was in that role that he immersed himself in learning all aspects of the housewares industry, from product knowledge to sourcing of merchandise overseas, as well as developing new products to bring to the marketplace.
Scott has been part of The Northeast Group since January of 2013 where he began as the Territory Manager for our expansion into the New York City and northern New Jersey markets. Scott’s specific customers include Bed Bath & Beyond, Ross Stores and Christmas Tree Shops to go along with his responsibility to continually increase our overall sales in the NY Metro area and beyond.
